英语演讲稿 篇1

I want to wish Eid Mubarak to all Muslims celebrating Eid and a safe journey to those now on Hajj.

I know that many of you use this special time to reflect on what’s important to you in yourlives: your family, your friends, your beliefs, your commitment to do the best you can forothers.

It’s also a time to think about sacrifice and struggle – and that is particularly poignant thissummer as we continue to see so many innocent people – Muslim and non-Muslim – caught upin the ongoing conflicts in Syria, Gaza and Iraq.

It is truly heartbreaking to witness the loss that continues to take place in these parts of theworld. More than ever we need to strive for an end to the violence. We need to unite behindpeace, tolerance, compassion, generosity towards one and other – the values that are at theheart of Islam and the heart of Eid. Today I want to reaffirm my commitment to thosevalues, my party’s commitment to those values, and I want to wish you all a loving andpeaceful Eid.

英语演讲稿 篇2

Leo Tolstoy once said, everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.

He is right. We always have great plans and dreams in our minds… too ready to achieve something grand that changes the world or benefits all of mankind .For example; we hate pollution and have made up our minds to find new energy sources that keep the environment clean. Yet we still litter on the ground. We complain about traffic jams, so we plan to build more highways to solve the problem, but it never occurs to us that our failure to follow traffic regulations is the leading cause of this situation. We are so concerned that the violence in the media has a bad impact on our children, we urge the government to set laws to protect them. But, do we, as adults, set a good example for our kids? We use nasty words and even spit on the ground in front of them, I dare to say, we harm more!

In my opinion, before we decide to change the world, we had better change ourselves first. As ordinary individuals, we do not have the power to change the world. But we can change our habit of littering, spitting, cussing, we can respect the environment around us, we must act as good models for our kids.

If each of us does all of these little things, all of us, millions and millions of individuals together, together we will be strong …strong enough to change our world!

So please, the next time you do something, think how your actions influence

英语演讲稿 篇3

I have thrown this party, because I wanted to thank you all for being kind to me while I have been ing back, it seems like a very short five years living here and working together with you.

My wife and I still remember the first day we arrived in Los Angeles, and every thing looked so huge, compared with things in Taipei.

The first several months were a difficult time, but we tried very hard to adapt ourselves to the new environment, new life style, and a new place of work.

There were times of disappointment, anger, and humiliation, and there were also times of joy, excitement, and happiness, Through them all, you have always been with us to share the sorrow and happiness, and we are deeply grateful to you for ions of thanks to you all, and dont forget to finish your dinner before it gets s:being kind to me.

英语演讲稿 篇4

Good morning/afternoon, ladies and gentlemen:

Consider the lowly toilet. Many of you may not think of the toilet as a form of technology if you think of toilets at all. But, it is and has contributed greatly to the improved health and overall quality of life for mankind.

On a recent trip to Japan, I was impressed by, among other things, a gadget in most public women's restrooms, called Otohime or Sound Princess. This device produces the sound of flushing water without the need for actual flushing. The technology saves the user both the embarrassment of being heard during urination and some 20 liters of water per use in cases where a woman might flush the toilet continuously while using it.

Every time I used Otohime, I felt like a princess, an environmentalist princess on the toilet.

It was a longed for feeling. Over the past decade, I shuffled in and out of many kinds of public restrooms in China--filthy smelly water closets in outlying areas, spacious luxurious lavatories in five-star hotels, forever-occupied girls' stalls on campus during school, and smart modern mobile toilets in international fairs. But not one single "room" evoked my pride of being a princess.

And I knew why the Sound Princess had. It was not because of the high technology the small bathroom boasted which is becoming ubiquitous worldwide. It was the idealism embodied in the technology that keeps reminding me that in this ever-changing world, I am a responsible and dignified human being even when sitting on a toilet.

Humanism, no matter how it is defined, aims to strike a balance between us being at the mercy of nature and being too human-centered. In my case, I haven't relieved myself under a tree for a while. I am a proud, dutiful Chinese citizen. Gone are the days when people just found a corner to do their business resulting in poor sanitation and threats to public health. The Otohimetechnology renders me two warnings: First, I am a humble human being with an obligation to save not only my face but also natural resources. Second, there is still a long way to go in my own country not just in developing technology and the economy, but also in upholding human dignity and promoting human welfare. Take the toilet: Dirty, crowdedtoilets shall, at least, give way to clean, human-friendly ones.

Fortunately, I have seen improvements. At Shanghai World Expo 2010, 8,000 toilets, all modern and technologically sophisticated, were installed across the site. What really delighted the visitors, however, was the user-friendly design and services. Toilets were situated every 100 meters. Several hundred volunteers served as toilet guides and sanitation workers. The ratio of female to male toilet space was set at 2.5 to 1. Soft music was played in the toilets. All this seems to celebrate the glory of comprehensive humanism.

Ladies and gentlemen, science and technology are here to improve earthly life and maximize human happiness. When our world benefits from technology, coupled with human considerations, we are bound to enjoy our life. Conversely, we suffer.

The toilet is a piece of sanitaryware and the quintessence of humanism that underlies technological innovation. Like GNP, employment rates, and space exploration efforts, the lowly equipment is an equally important measure of a progressive society. When on a toilet if we feel like a princess, we shall be proud of living in a society that values humanity. If not, we must stand up and make some changes.

And if you are still baffled with what I have said, I suggest you take off right now and go experience the bathrooms in this auditorium, because they are what makes our life beautiful or ugly, humanism considered or ignored.

I Agree or not agree: the next twenty years from now on, students will not use printed books any more.

I don't think so. printed books won't be abandoned in such a short time. I admit that new technology is developing fast. Many advanced electronic products are gradually take the place of traditional tools. Just like in university, teachers like to use multimedia in class for it is quite convenient and efficient. However, for our student, it is not realistic to study completely by electronic products. There are many things need to recorded on books. Books are something meaningful and practical.

I should say, in our country, printed books wouldn't be abandoned within 20 years at least for two reasons. Firstly, books are classical container of knowledge. They accompany human to advance. A student without books could be someway ridiculous. Secondly, our country haven't developed so strong to make every student study by computer or other forms of electronic tools. And even after 20 years, the possibility is also very small. I also think it is unnecessary because books are cheap but useful and still meaningful.

英语演讲稿 篇6

We have only one earth. But now,the environment becomes worse and worse. As you know, there's no enough clean water for people. So many of them lose their lives because of water. In a lot of countries, people have to cut trees for living. So there's nothing to keep waterfromrunning away. Also we have polluted the land, the river and the air. Some people may say:we are the masters of nature. Now the "master" seems to be confronted with problems that are far beyond his control.

The holes of the ozone layer make the earth less suitable to live for some creatures including human beings.Facing all the disasters made by ourselves,we have the responsibility to deal with the problem.

We must do something useful to protect our environment. We can plant trees and take good care of them.We can save the water and ask our parents to do so.We can't throw any litter onto the ground and we should collect them for recycling. If we take good care of our earth today,it will be more beautiful tomorrow.

英语演讲稿 篇8

First of all, I would like to thank today that I can stand here to participate in the activities of all the people, including me. The topic of my speech today is "thankful heart".

Some say, forget gratitude is human nature. When we accidentally came to this world, haven't had time to do anything, we have already started to enjoy the former brings us all material and spiritual achievements. It's remind every one of us, to have a grateful heart.

Have a heart of gratitude, more respect. Respect for life, respect for labor, respect creation. Hearts with gratitude, a generation of great men - all - deng ping said in three score and ten "I am the son of the Chinese people, I deeply love my country and my people!" With a grateful heart, the poet ai qing wrote in his poem: "why my eyes full of tears, because I have deep love to this land." Heard of the story of a man apologized to the tree? Heard of all the running car to make way for the dog's story? The true story, touched by a love of life, moved by people respect for life. When we enjoy a clean environment every day, we would like to thank those cleaning workers; When we move to a new house, we would like to thank those construction workers; When we travel, would like to thank the driver... Understand thank you, you will be looked upon with equal every life, to treat everyone around us, an ordinary ordinary labor, respect each also respect yourself more.

Have a heart of gratitude, more can realize his duty. In modern society, everyone has their own duties, their value. When one of China's top ten touched xu benyu screen, goodness of human nature was lit again, this was originally the college students into graduate school, but they threw into the mountains from the bustling city. This extraordinary feat hurt everyone's eyes, each person heart is also lit up a oldering fire. And let him to make a choice of the reason is simple: with a grateful heart. xu benyu with his gratitude for the mountains children paved the road to a love, lit the poverty and hope, completed his duty, realize the value of his life.

With a grateful heart, is not a simple endurance and tolerance, more not q, but with a generous mind brave face life positively. I believe, the most warm day from the cold, I believe, the most warm is an understanding of the cold, moved in a kind of gratitude. One must learn to Thanksgiving, to life with a grateful heart, heart to real happiness. A person without gratitude, heart is all empty. "YangYouGuiRuZhiEn", "crow has feedback of grace", "send person rose, the hand have lingering fragrance", "give me your hand, and son xielao," these are due to have a grateful heart, sweet, freely available.

So I want to thank you, my life of passers-by, let me know how light fades to don't tie to the mind, thank you, come and go, I will cherish; Thank you, all the teachers in my life, let me know how precious knowledge, thank you, following years, I will remember; Thank you, my life close to close friend, share happy with you, sad have to listen to you, thank you, busy, I won't forget; Thank you, I to really beloved relatives, in the course of time, quietly watch over me, shelter from the rain, let me in happiness to be loved also learned how to love others, thank you, day and night, I have in my heart.

Thank day litres of sunset, thank happy pain, thanks to the earth, the sky thank heaven all the stars, thanks to life, thanks to get and lose everything, and nothing had lost everything, let me in the season of the grass sprout out of the earth came up the beauty of life!

My friends, let us with a grateful heart facing the world! Let's hearts with gratitude to our life! As long as our life is full of gratitude, full of hope and passion, our society will be less critici and shuffle, more tolerant and understanding, would be less quarrel with indifference, and - more harmony and warm, would be less tricking and dysfunctional, more sincere and unity, our spiritual home will forever young...

Finally, let's get together again to listen to this song "grateful heart" : Thanksgiving heart, thank you, with my life, let me have the courage to do myself, Thanksgiving heart, thank fate, flowers bloom, I cherish.

Today my speech to this end, thank you
