Boeing is a big company - the largest aerospace company in the world, with more than 155,000 employees and $50 billion in annual revenues - but our place in the great scheme of things is really quite modest. Just about 70% of the value added in most of the products that bear the Boeing name was put there by suppliers, not by our employees, and that is up from about 60% a decade ago. To put that another way, the Boeing Company will never be any better than the network of suppliers that feed and support the company from 50 states and more than 90 countries around the world.

Not too long after I joined Boeing in 1997 (following the merger of McDonnell Douglas into Boeing), I described the company as "arrogant." Just as I expected, that shocked a lot of people inside Boeing. But I did so with a purpose in mind. First, I wanted to draw attention to the idea that we needed to do a better job of listening to the customer - and listening to others (i.e. our suppliers and partners) in the best position to help us do a better job. It's amazing how much you're able to learn when you aren't doing all of the talking. And second, I wanted to remind people that we were in a business, and in a business - regardless of what the name on the building may be - you don't assume that anybody owes you a living, and you don't look at the world through rose-colored glasses - seeing things not as they are but as you wish them to be.

First of all, it means more sharing of information and ideas - in both directions. We are sharing more information with you than ever before - on market forecasts, production rates, inventory levels, quality issues, and other critical data - and we are looking for more information in return, including forward-looking metrics that help us spot potential problems in the making. We don't want any unpleasant and unnecessary surprises - like the parts shortages and production problems that plagued this company back in 1997 and 1998. That shouldn't have happened then and it won't happen in the future. Even more importantly, however, we want the benefit of your ideas and expertise going forward. We want you fully engaged with us in serving the end customer - whether that is the military customer and others responsibility for national security, or the airlines and the traveling public. And that is certainly something that is happening in today's Boeing.

Thanksgiving is a very important American festivity and it is celebrated on the last Thursday of November.

However, schools and many shops and offices are closed for four days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Americans travel great distances to be with their families on this occasion.

Why is Thanksgiving such an important day?

The tradition started with the Pilgrims, the founders of America.

The Pilgrims left Great Britain in 1620. They wanted to start a new life in America . One hundred men, women and children left Britain on a small ship called

the Mayflower. They arrived on the north-east coast of North America in December 1620 and founded Plymouth.

It was winter and they had no homes and little food.

They built small homes, But it was too late to cultivate crops.

The winter was very cold and harsh. Their living conditions were very bad. The friendly Wampanoag Indians helped them during the long winter.In the spring the Pilgrims met an Indian called Squanto. He explained how to grow corn, hunt and live in the wilderness. Soon the Pilgrims and the Indians became good friends.

The Pilgrims worked hard . By November 1621 everyone had food and a home. There was hope for the future. The Pilgrim leader, decided to celebrate with a dinner for the Pilgrims and the Indians. He wanted to give thanks to God.

This was the first Thanksgiving dinner and it lasted for three days.

Today the traditional Thanksgiving meal is similar to the first.

People eatroast turkey, sweet potatoes, corn, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie.

Because of the fact that I had never teach in senior high school, I have to be familiar with the textbooks as soon as poible and find a way which is both suited to my students and myself in teaching practice.Besides, the world is developing, so does knowledge.Therefore, I would also keep learning in my spare time to improve my comprehensive skills, for example, reading English newspapers and magazines, listening english news and so on.Of course, learning from other senior teachers is an indispensible part of my plan due to their rich teaching experience and profound knowledge, too.

second, being a good guider

As an english teacher, there is no doubt that improving students’ english skills is my primary task.I would prepare leons carefully, aign time reasonably and make them interesting and facinating as poible so that students would listen attentively and participate actively.However, as a teacher, leading students to be a true person is important, too.thus, giving students some instructive suggestions in proper time is one of my job as well.

Third, believeing and respecting my students

Every one has their own strengths and weakne and grade should not be the only standard of judging a student.As far as I concerned, if we give students enough freedom and let them to do what they are interested in, they would do very well.So whether my students make a good score in exams or not, I would treat them equally and be confident in them.For those students who are good at english learning, I would like to make them get better grades.On the other hand, for those who are really not, I would help them find out their interests and encourge them to do what they are willing to do.Thanks for your support and trust again.That’s all.

THE first time I saw Bao was in 2005, the year when Thomas and Uber Cup was held. At that time he was playing against Li zongwei, who is also a good player from Malaysia. Bao beat him. To tell the truth, at first the reason why I liked him was just because I thought he was pretty.*(maybe it is not a suitable word, but I think no better word can describe him, he is really pretty!) From that time, I have focused on him. Then gradually, I found that he not only has good appearance, but also has a talent for badminton.

He is very tall, about 1.90 meters. He is the tallest one among all the players in the Chinese Badminton Team. In 2006, he is chosen as the flag holder stands for China in the opening ceremony in the 15th Asian Games held in Doha. It was the first time that the badminton players were chosen to take over the special task, before which time, it belonged to the basketball players. It was a great honor. And it also proved that Bao was an excellent athlete. We are all proud of him.

He began to play badminton when he was at primary school. In 2000, he won his first good medal, which was significant to him, in Guangzhou. Because of that, he entered the Chinese Badminton Team. As he is as old as Lin dan, who is the top one in the world, he is always put into a situation which is not good to him. He seldom beats Lin dan, so he gained a name which is called’千年老二’. In fact, his techniques are comprehensive, but he is lack of passion, the desire to win is not so strong. So he always has misplays. Due to this, he seldom wins the gold medal. I think this is related to his character. He is easygoing and couth; he looks as if he will never get angry with anybody. So this affects him while he is playing badminton. In a period of time, critical voice has come towards him. He is under great pressure. He was not in the best state. But recently he cheers up again. Several days ago, the Chinese Badminton Championship 2007 was held in Guangzhou. I went to see him on Saturday. I was very excited, and I shouted loudly, hoping he could hear me. There is no doubt that he won the game. Before he went away, he waved hand to us, how excited I was at that time! The next day, he beat Li zongwei again and he won the man’s single gold medal. All of us are very happy. After 7 years, which could be a long time for an athlete, he proved himself again in Guangzhou, which is considered as his lucky place.

Beggars are one of the most familiar groups in every city. They accompany us from our childhood until now, and I've found both the beggars and I change in this journey.

Years ago as a little girl, when I came across some old and disabled beggars on the road, I'd donate some pocket money to them, happily thinking I was helping.

s I have grown older, I've found the number of beggars has grown larger and they are more diverse. They appear in every corner of the city, on the overbridge, on the street, near restaurants, and even at your door. In contrast with the old days, it seems like the situation with beggars today is more complicated, which has made me hesitate before deciding whether to help them or not.

It's hard for me to give them money considering some who appear beggars in day time but dress up and go to fancy restaurants at night; and some who are controlled by some illegal organization and the money they get all goes to the organization. If I help them, I'd be making the problem worse, I'd be doing harm to the society, indirectly. But it's also hard not to give them money, considering there're real beggars who really need help. If I don't help them, who will? And where is my sympathy?

What hurts me the most is not how hard it is to distinguish the real help-seekers from the many false ones, but that some children are forced by adults, sometimes even their parents, to beg. They grow up despised by the world, out of mainstream society. When I see their eyes filled with desperation and impudence instead of purity and innocence, my heart sinks. We don't know how they will face the world when they grow up, how this will shape their characters, and what they may do to the society, to perpetuate this cycle of violence.

Months ago the Fu Jian government has promulgated a new policy to deal with 8 kinds of beggars. An internet survey shows that over 80% of voters reacted positively toward the policy. We know that one single policy cannot solve a problem as complex as this one, but we do look forward to some improvement. I wish all humanity can live like human.

Or who would have guessed that one of Boeing's biggest and most important programs in the defense arena would be one in which we aren't doing any metal bending or production at all? But that is the case with the Army's Future Combat Systems program, where Boeing and SAIC are responsible for integrating the design and build of essentially all of the Army's future platforms - everything that moves on the ground, in the air, or in space.

Like many of your own companies, Boeing is moving up the value chain and concentrating more intently than ever on a few core competencies. For us that chiefly means doing high-end design, engineering, and systems integration. We are not striving for self-sufficiency. To the contrary, our goal is to become a lean global enterprise that sticks to doing a few things exceptionally well and that is very adept at drawing upon the strengths and tapping into the best thinking and practices of other companies across the U.S. and around the world.

Thank you very much for choosing to come in such a cold y my topic is about choice and process.A research shows that a man has to make 73 choices one so many choices one day, people easily get so confused and afraid of making wrong choice that they hesitate and finally miss the true part of life. In my opinion, the following part is of much more importance than the choice. There is no absolute right or wrong choice but wonderful or boring life, which the process makes the difference.

Life is a box of chocolate,you never know what you will get. Forrest Gump made no decision by and for himself but he accomplished great success with his strong will in the process. The process is not the road itself but the attitudes and feelings ,the caution, courage and persistance we have as we encounter new experience and unexpected obstacles. Take myself as an example, I changed my major when I became a postgraduate. After the choice,days have been harsh for me.I cannot understand the new lessons at all. For they are closely related to mathmatics which I learned nothing about before. However wuth the belief that this is the great chance for me to experience new ideas and challenge myself,I persisted. I asked for help from every channel and reorgonized my life. Gradually I could understand some parts and even found maths over, I learned to act instead of complaining. In retrospect,the choice left no trace in my mind but the happiness and bitterness of the past four months becomes an unforgetable experience in my life.

NO matter what the choice is, enjoy the process. In the process, your potential will be inspired and new discoveries,improvement and progress will come to you. These are the most beautiful sceneries and only on the way can you see e make your life colorful.

There is no need and I donnot want to judge whether it right or wrong for me to be here,but I congratulate to myself for I gain and enjoy this fantastic experience.
