初中英语演讲稿 篇1

And I know what youre thinking. You know, Im up here bagging out inspiration, and youre thinking, "Jeez, Stella, arent you inspired sometimes by some things?" And the thing is, I am. I learn from other disabled people all the time. Im learning not that I am luckier than them, though. I am learning that its a genius idea to use a pair of barbecue tongs to pick up things that you dropped. (Laughter) Im learning that nifty trick where you can charge your mobile phone battery from your chair battery.

Genius. We are learning from each others strength and endurance, not against our bodies and our diagnoses, but against a world that exceptionalizes and objectifies us. I really think that this lie that weve been sold about disability is the greatest injustice. It makes life hard for us. And that quote, "The only disability in life is a bad attitude," the reason that thats bullshit is because its just not true, because of the social model of disability. No amount of smiling at a flight of stairs has ever made it turn into a ramp. Never. (Laughter) (Applause) Smiling at a television screen isnt going to make closed captions appear for people who are deaf. No amount of standing in the middle of a bookshop and radiating a positive attitude is going to turn all those books into braille. Its just not going to happen.

初中英语演讲稿 篇2

Ladies and gentlemen: Good morning! Today, the title of my speech is A Lesson from Nature.

Around us , there are plants, animals and many other things. We live in nature, so to keep the balance of nature is very important for us. But today, too many trees are still being cut down in many countries and flood all over the world are getting more and more serious, A lot of land has gone with them. This is a lesson from nature.

When people move into a new place, they often cut down trees or pull out many wild plants to make farmland. They don’t know that trees can stop flood and wind from washing or blowing the earth away, and that many of these wild plants are food for some wild animals. If the animals can’t find enough plants to eat, they will die or have to leave the place.

In one part of the United States, for example, the deer there like to eat a kind of wild flowers. The mountain tigers there eat the deer. But people killed many mountain tigers to protect the deer. soon there were so many deer that the ate up all the wild flowers. Then the deer began to eat the green leaves of the young trees .so the farmers thought of ways to protect their trees, then the deer had nothing to eat and many of them died.

The number of trees, deer, tigers, wild flowers and plants has changed much—less and less. We need to do more to keep the balance of nature.

Thank you

初中英语演讲稿 篇3

Once upon a time, an old rich woman left all her property to the person who could answer her question correctly. Her question was this “what is the most important thing for a person who wants to succeed?” To my surprise, the answer was not money, not power, not even opportunity, but “ambition”.

Why is ambition so important? A person without ambition is like a near-sighted lion. All the things in the distance appear blurred. No matter how strong it is, it cant go far.

A lion lives to rule the whole plain. A person must prove that “I am a king here”, at least you are the king of yourself.

Nowadays, the world is very competitive. Even if you get to the top of your own field, there might be still someone better than you. So we have to ask ourselves: what is the proof of success? I believe it is doing something for this world.

Remember: As a successful person, in addition to ambition, the other key you must hold is love. When you look back at history, youll find you were standing on the shoulders of the giants. You have enjoyed what they had left you. So we should live to work for the improvement of the world. From president to citizen, we should all take part in building a new WWW for which I have my own explanation ----it is“of the world, by the world, for the world”. Only as a member of the global village, can you feel you are really successful.

初中英语演讲稿 篇4

Matt and his wife lived in the country. Matt was very stingy and hated spending money. One day a fair came to the nearby town. Let’s go to the fair, Matt, his wife said. We haven’t been anywhere for a long time.

Matt thought about this for a while. He knew he would have to spend money at the fair. At last he said, All right, but I’m not going to spend much money. We’ll look at things, but we won’t buy anything. They went to the fair and looked at all the things to buy. There were many things Matt’s wife wanted to buy, but he would not let her spend any money. Then, in a nearby field, they saw a small airplane. Fun flights! the notice said, $ 10 for 10 minutes. Matt had never been in an airplane and he wanted to go on a fun flight. However, he didn’t want to have to pay for his wife, as well. I’ve only got $$ 10, he told the pilot. Can my wife come with me for free? The pilot wasn’t selling many tickets, so he said, I’ll make a bargain with you. If your wife doesn’t scream or shout, she can have a free flight. Matt agreed, and got into the small airplane with his wife. The pilot took off and made his airplane do all kinds of things. At one moment it was flying upside down. When the plane landed, the pilot said, 0. K. your wife didn’t make a sound. She can have her ride free.

Thank you, Matt said. It wasn’t easy for her, you know, especially when she fell out.

I really want to live in a world where disability is not the exception, but the norm. I want to live in a world where a 15-year-old girl sitting in her bedroom watching "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" isnt referred to as achieving anything because shes doing it sitting down.

I want to live in a world where we dont have such low expectations of disabled people that we are congratulated for getting out of bed and remembering our own names in the morning. I want to live in a world where we value genuine achievement for disabled people, and I want to live in a world where a kid in year 11 in a Melbourne high school is not one bit surprised that his new teacher is a wheelchair user.

Disability doesnt make you exceptional, but questioning what you think you know about it does. Thank you.

初中英语演讲稿 篇7

Friendship is a kind of human relations. It is a human instinct to make

friends. When in trouble, we need friends to offer us help, support and encouragement. With success achieved, we also need friends to share our joys.

Friendship is also one of the greatest pleasures that we can enjoy. It implies loyalty, cordiality, sympathy, affection, and readiness to help. No man can make the most of his life without carefully and conscientiously striving to win the right kind of friends as he goes along. Knowing how valuable friendship is, we should be very careful in making

friends. Real friends are those who have good character, superior ability and kindness of heart. Real friends can share all our sorrows and double all our joys. While making friends, we should take care to select those who have such fine qualities. Then we should treat our friends with courtesy, be careful not to interfere unreasonably with them, and not to ridicule their proceedings. We should forgive their failures and do our best to help them. In short, when we have established friendship, we ought to cherish and treasure it by means of words and deeds. Only thus, can we develop real friendship and keep the sacred lamp of friendship burning all our life.
