大学生英语演讲稿 篇1

I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its belief: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal."

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood; I have a dream .....

That one day even the state of Mississippi, a desert state suffering from the heat of unfairness, suffering from the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice; I have a dream

That my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character; I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day down in Alabama, with its evii racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interposition and invalidity, one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers;

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be gone, every hill and mountain shall be made Iow, and rough places will be made plane and crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.

大学生英语演讲稿 篇2

Ladies and gentlemen,Im Choco, from 14CPA Canada.Im here today not just for winning the speech contest, which is amazing enough, but more importantly, the topic fascinates me so much.As a member of AIESEC,an international organization for university students famous for global citizen program,Im proud to help lots of students go out of their countries to be global volunteers,to make friends with peers all around the world,to experience other culture,to make a little change in local society, above all,to develop a sense of global citizenship. We all have firm belief that there shouldnt be walls between nations.Conflicts occur because people know little about each other, misunderstand each other. If human society has a bright future in peace, there have to be more people with the sense of global citizenship,to share the natural rights together and take responsibility together. Because this is one minute for self-introduction,I just briefly introduce myself in this way: I am a global citizen.China is my bedroom where I usually live, the world is my real home.

【Main part】

Id like to use the answers to three questions, which is what, why and how, to deliver my speech today.First of all, what are global citizens? We are people who place our indentities with global community above our identities of a particular nation. In other words,we are not abandoning our nationalities or our hometowns, but we have stronger belongings to the globe. We are concerned about every global issue, never less than those in our own countries.

There comes the second question. Many people will ask:" Why do you feel like that? Why do you think more people should feel like that?" Lets look through humans history and there lies the answer. From then to now,its not difficult to find out that most civilizations have more things in common than differences. We all develop languages, complicated social structures,art,science,commerce,philosophy...Undeniably,we did have wars, but it turned out that there were no winners or losers. We all suffered from the same pain.Families died in battlefield, and houses were detroyed in shells. While in peace, all of us enjoy safe environment and economic growth. Our histories are linked, and so is our future. Everyone of us desires being well off, democracy, cultural prosperity, clean air and water. We all hope that our kids can grow up safe and sound, dont we? Since we share the same feelings, the same hope, humankind is essentially one.If you think thats too big.Lets come down to current situation.Economic globalization is the trend that no one can stop.Investment comes from every corner of the world, and different markets are tightly connected.Cooperation is needed if everyone wants to live better off. Moreover, issues of global level are more noticable than before:climate change, financial crisis, womens right, childrens health...Without the sense of global citizenship, no one is willing to sit down and settle down the problems together.

Now move to the last question: how to become a global citizen? As a saying goes:To see,to understand, then to change. One of my friend in AIESEC went to Karachi,Pakistan this winter.Never had she thought that she could see a MacDonald restaurant and hear songs of Taylor Swift right after getting off the plane. What she saw was people living their normal life in the so-called City of Death.Adults going to work, students going to school, just like what were doing here, although a bullet may fly above their heads the next second. She was also impressed by youngsters in Pakistan, who showed courage, faith and confidence to create a bright future for their country. Not just panic and depress can survive there as the news reports, but also the seed of hope is sprouting.Another friend of mine in AIESEC is from India. His name is Kunal, and he regards himself as a global citizen. He joined AIESEC in India, where he met his lifelong lover,a blonde Russian girl in a local project. When he went to the university of Copenhagen,he joined the AIESEC committee there as well. Now,he is in Canada, running another AIESEC project called Green Power Now,giving advice to the government about environmental protection.Young people like Kunal are changing the world now, with their experience, ability, ambition and the name of global citizens.

My speech is almost finished according to the three questions, but traditionally, speakers have to quote something so today Id like quote a song by John Lennon. The name is Imagine.

大学生英语演讲稿 篇3

ladies and gentlemen, i can say im no less nervous than my fellow and he was on the first time coming before this house. i can say ladies and gentlemen, that the problem we are facing before us, the problem that i have to deal with today, is how to define success.

it is often too easy, it is often too simplistic to define success as something external, something objective, something dealing with money, fame or reputation. but what i believe success is that it is not external. it comes from within. it is internal. i believe success is that you have to have your own ideals, and that you have faith in those ideals, even in the face of extreme adversity. and that is my definition of success.

i also believe that success is not discriminatory. success does not attach to a mere particular class of individuals. i believe that each and every individual, regardless of race, gender, class or even economic background, has an equal right to success, because each person has the right to develop his own ideals and to pursue those ideals.

a good example of this is the composer beethoven, a man who all of us know has created great symphonies. this man was deaf. this man was unable to hear his own majestic pieces of work. and yet, he held to his ideal of creation of music to the very end. then what exactly does the definition of success mean to me? to answer this question, to exemplify it, i pose a question to this house. i pose a question what brings us here together today, ladies and gentlemen, students and educators as you like. and the answer that i have found is the love for the spoken word.

love for the spoken word means how it is to express, how it is to listen, how it is to understand. because what happens when you have a pause, what happens when you have a rhetoric speech all differs on the impact and communication that you have on your audience. but the meaning of the spoken word applies ever more strongly to those who are unable to speak, or are unwilling to speak. because all the beautiful thoughts and emotions encapsulated in that person will inevitably be lost, if that person is not able to speak.

i once went to australia in 1998,and i saw two pictures drawn by three-year-old children. one was drawn by a normal child, one was drawn by what is known as an autistic child, a child which is exclusive, which is unable to express himself verbally to other people. and you could see the difference between the pictures. one was a picture of a horse very simple and straightforward. one was a picture of a horse a gain, but you could see the life, you could see the spirit, and you could see the detail behind that picture.

so the point i want to make here is that these people do have emotion they understand a lot, but it is very very fatal that they are not able to express themselves. and my definition of success is to share with them the beauty of the spoken word. my definition of success is to teach and be able to change these peoples lives, because i have had the opportunity of encountering these people in my times either at school or during my summer jobs. i have had the time and opportunity to change these people. i have had the time to see exactly what exactly they go d1rough and to understand that point.

my ideal here is to share the beauty of the spoken word to these people. it is fright fatal that these people are not given the opportunity to be understood by the world. i say it because these people are often neglected by the public. i say it because people often think they are awkward and different. but i say we cannot forgive these acts because we must have a proactive approach to teach these people.

i say, ladies and gentlemen, that is important to keep your ideals. i say we should not have a premature abortion of ideals. it is easy to stray; it is easy to be distracted. what i say is let your ideals live on. let the child of your ideals live on, because what i want to leave you with is living you life without an ideal means that your life is not worth living at all. thank you.

I love English When I was seven, I started learning English. I played games and sang English songs with other children. Sometimes, I watched English cartoons. Its funny. Then I discovered the beauty of the language, and began my colorful dream in the English world. I hope I can travel around the world someday. I want to go to America to visit Washington, because my cousin is over there. Of course, I want to go to London too, because England is where English language developed. If I can ride my bike in Cambridge University, I will be very happy. I hope I can speak English with everyone in the world. Also Ill introduce China to them, such as the Great Wall, and the gardens in Suzhou. I will teaching people of the world about the beautiful language of our country. I like the English language. To learn English is wonderful. I once wanted to be an English teacher . I also like Chinese literature. When I was really young, I was able to remember lots of poems. I also wanted to be a teacher of Chinese. Now I think that both of my dreams can come true: I will be able to use English to teach foreign friends Chinese and share Chinese culture with them. So that more and more people will be able to get to know the 5000 years history culture, and the prosperity of our great China. My future is not a dream. I am confident that it will come true

Job hunting has always been a headache for college students. Though many graduates are employed right after graduation, some are not. Most serious of all, some still have no idea where to go working even a long time after be oneselfs boss is a good ideal which is encouraged by the state.

One of the advantages of being selfemployed is that the profit the business makes belongs to the owner. If the self-employed person succeeds in business, he has the chance to earn a great deal of money. The profit earned is the reward for the owners effort, ability and creativity. Thus, a second

advantage is that a persons intelligence and abilities have a direct effect on the earnings. A third advantage of being self-employed is that a person can control his working e not all self-employed people are completely free, most of them have more control over this area than the salaried people.

大学生英语演讲稿 篇7

good evening ,ladies and gentlemen:

we are the world ,we are the future someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. i don’t know who wrote these words, but i’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. we are all in the position of the farmers. if we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. if we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.

we are young. “how to spend the youth?” it is a meaningful question. to answer it, first i have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” youth is not a time of life, it’s a state of mind. it’s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. it’s the matter of the will. it’s the freshness of the deep spring of life.

a poet said “to see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour. several days ago, i had a chance to listen to a lecture. i learnt a lot there. i’d like to share it with all of you. let’s show our right palms.we can see three lines that show how our love.career and life is. i have a short line of life. what about yours? i wondered whether we could see our future in this way. well, let’s make a fist. where is our future? where is our love, career, and life?tell me.yeah, it is in our hands. it is held in ourselves.

we all want the future to be better than the past. but the future can go better itself. don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened. from the past, we’ve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher. we’ve learnt that we can’t choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it. failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it, it does mean you should do it in a different way.

failure doesn’t mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder.

as what i said at the beginning, “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. the past has gone. nothing we do will change it. but the future is in front of us. believe that what we give to the world, the world will give to us. and from today on, let’s be the owners of ourselves, and speak out “we are the world, we are the future.
