While both men and women have such friends, evidence is accumulating that indicates men rarely make close friends. Men are sociable and frequently have numerous business acquaintances, golfbuddies, and so on. However, firendship does not merely involve a sharing of activities; it is a sharing of self on a very personal level. Customatily, men have shied froem close relationships in which they confide in others. By bottling up their emotions, men deprive themselves of a healthy outlet for their negativete feeling.

People choose some friends because thy are fun to be with; they "Meke things happen". Likewise, common intersts appear to be a significant factor in selecting friends. Families with children, for instance, tend to gravitate tovard families with children. It is normal to befriend people who have similar lifestyles, and organizations such as Parents without Partners have appeared on opportunity to socialize, make new acquaintance and friends, obtain helpful advice in adapting smoothly to a new lifesyle. Other groups focus on specific interst such as caming or politics. It is perfectly acceptable to select friends for special qualities as long as there is a balanced giving and taking that is mutually satisfying.

Very cloes and trusted friends share confidences candidly. They feel secure that they will not be ridiculed or derided, and their confidences will be bonored. Betraying a trust is a very quick and painful way to terminate a friedship.

As friendships solidify, ties strengthen. Intimate relationships enrich people'life. Some components of a thriving friendship are honesty, naturalness, thoughtfulness, and some common intersts.

Now , please look at the sky, black smog is full of the sky. We can’t see the blue sky. You can see lots of cars in the streets. They give off terrible gas every second. And you can see factory chimneys giving off black smoke. So we have to breathe the polluted air. Waste water is given off from factories. It directly flows into rivers and oceans. So we have to drink the polluted water and eat the polluted food everyday. And you can hear noise from time to time. More and more people die from the illness, which caused by pollution. And now nature is punishing us. If we don’t do anything to save the earth, maybe the dream will become true in the near future. At that time, we can do nothing but cry for what we have done to nature.

No nature, no life! Just imagine, if there were no trees no flowers and no animals in the world, only pollutants were left, how terrible it would be! We have only one earth. We should collect used batteries, we should protect flowers and trees and plant trees every year .we should go to school on foot or by bike or by bus instead of driving cars. Ages passed while we walked to the embassy, suffering from hunger and helplessness with every step we took. Sure enough, our eyes were unconsciously filled with tears when we finally reached the spot. I was taken by surprise when the brightly-colored Chinese national flag broke through the darkness and appeared once again in front of my eyes, recalling all the pleasure I had at home. It suddenly felt as if I was taken home, a home where all my fear and anxiety vanished and replaced by the hope and warmth that ran all over my body to cheer me up. The ambassadors were all amiable Chinese officers and the familiar Chinese accent drew me closer to my motherland where we received the only help. The ambassadors made us noodles in the familiar Chinese way and settled the accommodation for us. I had tears running down my cheeks when the hot noodles, smelled as pleasant as my mother's at home, filled my stiff empty stomach because I knew I was safe in the arms of my compatriots and there was no need to be worried anymore for I knew I was home.

We successfully returned to Beijing the next day and I still couldn't forget the moment when I felt so much closer to my motherland than any other time given, as though our hearts were beating in one melody. Had my motherland not saved the day, we would never came back home so quickly without any restriction. For that one brief second when I was handed the brand new passport with a Chinese flag printed on it, my heart was overflowed with the pride for my own nation because never has a country I known connected to its people so close as the way my motherland and us related. I was like a child, crying and desperate for help while my mother China is the harbor to hold me, this small vulnerable boat. Even though I was out of home, my motherland remained inseparated from me no matter how far I go and is always there to help me back on track whenever in need. I wish you a happy birthday, China. I am so proud of you not only because of your obvious amazing pace in economical development, but also due to the relieved and warm way I felt when I was abroad and enjoyed your ray of love shone on my body and heart. You are the spirits dancing in my blood, the strength holding up my body and and essence making up my soul. I am so honored as a Chinese, a member of this dynamic and loving country.
